Online Surveys that Pay – Vindale Research

Is Anybody Really Making Money with Paid Surveys?
One of the most common ways to make money online is paid surveys. I’m sure you see the ads everywhere – Get Paid to Do Surveys! But every time you sign up for one, you end up doing a million little surveys, each with a million individual pages and you only make 50 cents. Or, you get signed up, then realize you don’t make actual money, you just get entered into monthly drawings. If you’re like me, that doesn’t really feel much like making money.
The good news is, there are some legitimate money making surveys out there. Sites that offer real surveys consisting of more than just page after page of ads; that pay dollars instead of cents. Like any true business, though, in order to make any real money, you have to treat it like a business. It is definitely not a get rich quick scheme. But if you’re looking for some money making jobs to supplement your other efforts, surveys can be a quick and easy solution.
Getting Started
- Before you start, set up an email account just for your survey business, such as a Yahoo email account. Then, make sure you turn off all spam blockers for that account – you don’t want to lose any paid survey opportunities in your spam account! Sometimes they are time sensitive, so be sure to check your email a couple of times a day.
- To maximize your earning potential, you will need to sign up for multiple agencies. Each of them will only have a few surveys at a time, so the more you have, the more you can make.
- Expect to spend some time for each agency filling out your profile and answering “getting to know you” surveys. Some of them are very quick, some have multiple pages and may take you 15-20 minutes to complete. They are important, though, as this is how they know which surveys to assign to you.
- Some surveys are product evaluations and you may have to download a software or pay for a subscription fee up front. Be sure to carefully check each offer to see how much it is paying vs. how much you need to pay for the software, to make sure you are still making a profit.
- A lot of the sites you are evaluating are subscription sites (the Internet way of the future, it seems). Make sure you use an organizer or to-do list of some kind to keep track of what you’ve signed up for and when it needs to be canceled to avoid recurring fees. I use Toodledo.com – a free online to-do list that will send you email reminders, has a Firefox widget available and will sync with your iphone. Check it out.
